It was a cold night in February 2009, the 27th to be exact, smack dab in the middle of the recession when our founder and President of APP, Nancy Hassel decided to host a networking event for pet professionals on Long Island, NY. Hoping to bring together pet pros from all areas of the industry to unite, meet each other, and create a community amoung peers. Over 50 people came from 3 different states, all boroughs of New York City, and all across Long Island to attend the event! It has been an amazing journey, and in many ways we feel like we are still just getting started!
So if you ever have an idea for a pet product, business, service or want to work with animals - go for it! We love to see the pet industry thrive and we really love to help pet businesses, animal rescues and non-profit organizations prosper.
